Friends, I’d like to take a moment to share a few family recipes for traditional Christmas drinks.
1 – Egg Nog
Start with a rocks glass.
Put three large ice cubes in the glass.
Pour a sipping whiskey over the ice cubes.
Enjoy!
2 – Spiced Cider
Start with a rocks glass.
Put three large ice cubes in the glass.
Pour a sipping whiskey over the ice cubes.
Enjoy!
3 – Hot cocoa
Start with a rocks glass.
Put three large ice cubes in the glass.
Pour a sipping whiskey over the ice cubes.
Enjoy!
Have a very merry Christmas!
Heh. Now those are some recipes I intend to try!
By some amazing coincidence, I used that very same recipe last night for mulled wine.
I do a variation of all of those drinks. All of the other ingredients and the preparation steps remain, but for each ounce of whiskey I make a rather creative substitute of exactly one ounce of bourbon. Make sure that you get the ratio right. Exactly 1:1.
Classic drinks never go out of style. My favorite, Irish Coffee, is incredibly easy. Start with a rocks glass, put an ice cube or two in, and cover with an excellent sipping whisky.
I’m sensing a pattern here…. Never contaminate a fine whiskey with anything other than ice.
Merry Christmas to you and Jennifer Michael.
YUM!!!
haha, agreed on all of those!
LOL, that *would* be a VERY merry Christmas…
I need to write those down so I don’t forget them or get a step out of place š
That was hilarious! Jenni totally got my guard down coming in from her blog . . . Way to go, teamwork! I’ll have to try that egg nog out, but I’m not a big hot cocoa fan . . . Alright, you’ve convinced me!

Now that’s some holiday cheer that I can get behind!
Hm! Not sure I agree with those icecubes. Then again, it might be due to my Scandinavian heritage. In Sweden, ice is a thing best avoided.
